The Woman-Mimer Video
Radio City DJ Simon Greening re-wrote the lyrics to Britney Spears ‘Womanizer’ and turned it into ‘Woman-Mimer’. He then got a Radio City listener, Nicole Didsbury from Runcorn, to go to the tower and sing it in one of the studios. After playing it out on his radio show, loads of people loved it and asked if there would be a video. So simon put together some backing dancers, costumes and different locations for filming and then we filmed and edited the video. Watch the woman-mimer video below.
Behind The Scenes of Woman-Mimer
The whole project from initial fiilming concept to the finished production took around 7 days to make. The video was shot at two different locations (MDI Studios & Wallesey High School) on different days using a crane, track and dolly and multiple cameras. In total there was over 11 hours of footage recorded using a production crew of 4 people. Take a look at this exclusive video showing the cast and there outakes.
The video is based around Britney Spears rehearsing for her X Factor performance in a dance studio with her backing dancers and she can't get her dance moves right.
Britney thinks it is all going well but her choreographer thinks otherwise and starts getting really annoyed with her and ends up walking out, slamming the door behind her.
Simon Greening who is playing the part of Dermot, announces Britney to the stage to sing Woman-Mimer to an empty audience and her performance of the adapted song begins. Simon Greening also doubles up as a member of the audience who shouts out "woman-mimer" during her performance.
